Lunch: brussel sprouts, bread, green beans, a piece of lemon ice box pie and sweet tea

At least it was lemon pie and not something more deadly like chocolate!
Dinner: a couple of chicken wings, a small bowl of chili, and a small bowl of potato soup
Dinner note: very small and quick dinner served at Church

I'll try to post again tonight and say more stuff. I'm at work right now and need to get back to work.

Diet

Breakfast note:
Lunch: none
Lunch note:
Dinner: Fontega Panini from Panera Bread, 1 banana, and a blueberry fruit shake
Dinner note: Kristin and I went to go visit my parents tonight and I got treated to an excellent, warm panini sandwich from Panera Bread. My mom then topped it off with one of those blueberry fruit shakes that she makes so wonderfully. It was a good visit.
Snacks: none
Snacks note:
Not much in exercising today, but that's o.k. because my body is a little sore from this past week. I don't want to over do it.
This was a great Saturday! I got a lot accomplished with just getting my apartment cleaned up where it should be. We had our music practice at the church at 2:00 today and I played Ping Pong with Francios and Pastor Marvin after practice. It was a lot of fun; Kristin and I had fun visiting my parents tonight too, and we got to play some Boggle with them as well. Relaxed and fun, this is how a Saturday should be.

TGIF. I'm ready to sleep in again. You know, I think I like to sleep in every chance I get! Work went pretty good besides having a three-hour meeting that took me out of production time and prevented me from catching up completely like I wanted to.

Snacks note:
O.k. I'm finally back into my project. I can't get away from it like that or it will be no good. The reason why I'm not posting for the days that I missed from 2/13/08 to now is simply because there is way too much information to remember as far as the exercises that I've done and especially what I ate.
In case you didn't know, I was gone on a ski trip this past weekend. It was a lot of fun and I enjoyed learning how to ski. I'm a little upset that I didn't get to take a picture of myself for the time that I was gone, but I'm getting back into it now. In a nutshell, I was pretty worn out from skiing. That whole day was like an exercise session. I ate breakfast everyday while gone (which consisted of cereal, a waffle, and a bagel). There's no question about it... I knew I would be a little sore after the ski trip, but I really feel o.k. now.
Other things have been going on in my life that I just really need your prayers and support with. A lot of it is just unspoken and private matters, but please pray that God will make a way for me even though it seems that there would be no way. These things that have been going on in my life has really started to drain me mentally and emotionally.
1 <----In regards to the draining situations in my life, I know what this number means. Please pray that it will grow daily.

Dinner note:
Snacks: one bowl of Curves whole grain crunch cereal
Snacks note: It was getting pretty late and I didn't want to eat too big, so I decided to eat something small and sort of healthy.
Well, I think I'm now doing more than just losing weight. I guess it's to be expected, and I noticed it last night, and that's muscle growth. I've noticed that my body is beginning to take shape in more than just getting smaller weight wise, but I'm starting to get definition as well. The exercises that I do are also getting easier from my endurance building up as well. A new record on my upside-down push-ups! This is starting to get really good. Well, to be continued... I still have a ways to go.
Some cool news. I can now fit comfortably in my 36's. In case you didn't know. I was a 38 and even some of my 38's were getting kind of snug. Time to throw in some old clothes!
I came home today from work and as soon as I came into my apartment, I crashed in my bed. I got a good 2-hour nap in. Now I'm going to go to bed early so that I can feel great tomorrow! Oh, I was not able to get this Friday off work, but my boss said that I could take that following Tuesday off. So now I have Thursday, Monday, and Tuesday off! Oh! Sweet rest and relaxation!

This was basically a fund raiser for the youth so that they can go on a skiing trip this coming weekend... and I'm going too! It's going to be a blast I know.

CHILI! What's up with all the chili eating? I guess I just happen to be in the right chili place at the right chili time. It has done its number... 'nuff said.
Yes, I'm going to go skiing this coming weekend (I'm going with the church youth group). I asked off work Thursday, Friday, and Monday. I definitely got Thursday and Monday off, but I won't know if I got Friday off until tomorrow. We're going to an area near Cincinnati, OH where it is guaranteed to have 'snow' on the mountain (it may be fake snow if it isn't cold enough), and you get to either ski, snowboard, or tube down the slopes. Fake snow or not, it's going to be a blast!
I am learning so much in VB .Net, and also how to use databases to have your GUI serve a purpose besides just being a pretty screen. I really feel if I keep that up too, then I'll have the confidence to pursue a job in that field.
It's been an extremely busy weekend. I really felt like I was going to pass out Friday night because of my lack of sleep. I feel a lot better now, and I'm going to finally get to sleep in Thursday morning! YAY! I love asking off for work! I need to do that more often! zzzzzzzz..... zzzzzzz..... zzzzzzzzzzzzz.............. !

I don't know. I thought it was at least just as good, if not better! I'm always so greatful for such a wonderful girlfriend!
Dinner: about eight chicken wings and one stick of crunchy bread
Dinner note: Good, quick church meal. Linda from church has a true servants heart and is a top-notch example of what showing kindness and compassion towards others is all about. She made up a few other things, but I did not want to eat more than I needed to.

I'm looking forward to Friday night. I'm suppose to meet Mark again and we'll get more involved with SQL and ADO .Net since we didn't have a whole lot of time last time. Also, another friend from the church, Franciox, will be meeting us there. He's going to bring his electric drum set and I'll bring my guitar or keyboard and we'll have a rockin' jam session!
It's way too late. I got to get what little sleep I can get now.

Snacks: none
Snacks note:
I went over to Mark's house tonight since I didn't get to go last night and we went over some more in VB .Net. This time we went into SQL and he showed me how to build tables in a database so that we may maintain and manipulate data from the truck program that we're writing. I'm going to try to meet him again this week for a more concentrated look into SQL and ADO .Net since I didn't have too much time tonight. I wish time ticked a little bit slower. I'm learning a great deal from Mark and I really believe that I could make VB. Net a career thing.
Well, I'm not doing a lot of exercises tonight because I'm really exhausted and sleepy. It's late and I need to hit the hay. G'night!

Breakfast note:
Lunch: seafood dish, ham and cheese sandwich, some small high-roller cuts (sandwich thing), meat balls and weenies, a small piece of sausage, some guacamole dip, a bowl of chili, mexican salad, and a little bit of a dish that Kristin made
Lunch note: My work had a Super Bowl meal thing going on Friday. Everyone either brought a dish or donated for food. I donated for the cause and ate the food! It was fun to get to try my coworker's cooking. We really do have a lot of guys and gals at my work that know how to cook! I met Kristin at lunch time and we walked a little bit. She made a dish that she let me try. I wish I could remember what it was called, but you may have to ask her... I just remember that it was good, of course!
Dinner: Sushi, shrimp, beef, and chicken
Dinner note: Kristin and I met in Cleveland to go watch our very first live opera. We ate a very filling meal at Yummy's which is a Japanese restaurant in Cleveland. I guess they couldn't think of any other names for a Japanese restaurant.

Snacks note: o.k. so this was the first taste of chocolate I've had since the project. no excuses. I'll take it like a man! I didn't fail, because there was hardly any chocolate in the coffee mixture. So there. And lady fingures help to balance it out! Just wait till tomorrow... this was definitely the ultimate splurge weekend!

Diet
Breakfast: none
Breakfast note:
Lunch: Italian wedding soup, a salad, bread sticks, spaghetti and meatballs, a punch-like drink, coffee, 2 amaretti cookies, and 1..2...3 pieces of tiramisu!!!
Lunch note: Oh NO! What happened? This was a splurge day if I ever heard of one. What will happen now? Am I doomed? Will I go to hell? NO! I will get right back up! I had a duty and responsiblity to support the youth at our church! We had an awesome, fine-dining type set-up in the fellowship hall after Sunday morning service was out, and the food was as good as the set-up! Kristin's tiramisu was a hit! I hit it hard as so did many others. It was all quality and just a lot of fun to help the youth raise money. I hope they do it more often. They really had a blast doing it.
Dinner: black bean dip with tortilla chips, amaretti cookies, shrimp etouffee, bread, tiramisu and sweet tea
Dinner note: Our church decided to take advantage of the Super Bowl game and had a fun set-up arranged to watch it with some typical food fixings for a Super Bowl get-together. Kristin and I decided to go visit with my parents around the middle part of the game. They had some good shrimp etouffee and bread with it. Yes I had a little more tiramisu! Franciox and I worked off all the food from the ping-pong games that we played! We are getting good at that game! It's fun!

Now! I can talk freely and not under the context of foods! I was asked by my dad and my uncle if I could post a couple of pictures of myself to give them an idea of the progress physically and also so they could recognize me when they saw me lol. I'll post the very first picture that I took 1/1/08 along with the 1/31/08 picture and the latest one 2/4/08. I really am embarrassed to even do it now... I don't have anything impressive to show, but at least you'll get to see the results that I'm having now.
Here is the infamous pic from 1/1/08!
Now here I am on 1/31/08.
And finally, here is the one for tonight. I just got finished exercising... that's why I look tired.
O.k. there are the pictures. I'm going to bed now. Busy day tomorrow. I'm going to go over to Mark's house tomorrow since I didn't go tonight. Don't laugh at my hairiness lol!

Dinner note: I went over to Kristin's house Saturday and we made two 13x9 Tiramisu dishes for the dinner that we had after church Sunday. Kristin made some awesome quesadillas that calls for ground beef, diced pineapples, and black beans all in a soft tortilla casing. So good.

Snacks note:
O.k. One month down, three to go... for the actual '120 Days Project.' Of course the true test will be after the project is finished. Well, 31 pictures so far to compare with where I was. I must say that if February has the same percentage of improvement as January did, then results will look amazing! I'm excited to see where this will go.
Until next time!
